“All of those things that I thought were wrong with me are actually a part of my design. They’re part of who I am.”
Krisha Young (12:35-12:42)
Krisha Young is a success coach and sabotage slayer who focuses on human design and helps others tap into their inner mastery so they can be their most successful selves. Krisha learned about human design in the process of trying to stop her self-sabotaging behaviors. She discovered that human design is a blueprint for who we are, including all the quirks, brilliance, and purpose.
Everything about who we are is in our human design chart. It lets us identify our strengths and the areas where we sabotage ourselves. When we develop this understanding, we see how all the things we thought were wrong with us are actually a part of our design and who we are.
“Your strength and ability to take the calculated risk of going deep into your psyche allows your community to dive in, too.” – Krisha Young (9:34-9:53)
The Difference Between Human Design and Personality Assessments
Human design is based on our birth data. There are no subjective questions to answer, and it doesn’t come from a subjective point of view.
Personality tests are based on subjective questions. If we’re growth-oriented, how we answer those questions today is going to be different from how we would have answered them three years ago. Personality assessments can pigeon-hole us into a category that doesn’t account for the fluidity of growth and the expansion of change that happens when we work deeply on ourselves.
How to Stop Self Sabotage!
If you are experiencing frustration, anger, bitterness, or turmoil, that’s a sign that you’re not on the right path. You may be trying to please others or live from your mind instead of your gut. Ask yourself, “Is this acceptable to me anymore?” It comes down to taking personal responsibility. Change starts with the decision that you no longer want to self-sabotage anymore.
“Going deep into forgiveness and taking ownership of your life is the key to making massive transformation in your life.” -Diane Forster (22:38-22:58)
Overcoming self-sabotage comes down to awareness. When we realize we’re doing it, we know where it’s coming from and why we’re doing it, and how to stop it, the sooner we can eliminate it. Understanding your purpose can be a powerful part of the process. What do you really want? What do you need to do to move forward and get out of your own way? You can achieve the life you want when you eliminate self-sabotage and help others do the same for themselves.
