When I had Rebecca Zung on my TV Show “I HAVE TODAY with Diane Forster” (watch here), she and I talked about the importance of empowering yourself with knowledge when it comes to protecting yourself legally. We also talked about our own transformations and how many decisions needed to be made.
One thing is for certain: Feelings of LOW SELF-WORTH can COST YOU!!! You need to have a strong support system around you. When I was going through my own transition out of marriage, it was my therapist and my coach that helped me through the divorce process.
In a marriage or divorce, in a business relationship or partnership, or in any situation where you have legal and moral rights, it’s important to know your worth! Here are three ways to help empower you when it comes to legal matters.
-
INVEST in Yourself!
I can’t tell you how many times I hear the words, “I can’t afford that” or “that’s for other people and not me.” Why do people spend money on so many other things, yet they refuse to INVEST in what’s best for them??? Please GET HELP! The right coach, mentor, attorney, a therapist can help SAVE you so much! So much time, money, energy, aggravation, stress. The list goes on and on! As someone who is a coach/consultant now and believes in it, I personally have three coaches and know the VALUE they bring to my life. I could never do this alone. Neither can you! If you could, you would!!!

Honor YOUR Feelings!
As Rebecca stated on the show, the first part of her book focuses on the emotional piece of divorce. With all the work I do with my clients, I focus on MINDSET first. If you don’t take care of that piece first, you struggle so much! It’s so important to honor your feelings and process through them with awareness, acceptance, and acknowledgment of them. Once you do that, you can move through them so much more quickly!

Even If It’s Painful, There’s a Purpose In It!
There’s a “gift” in everything. That used to be a foreign concept to me, but now I understand it so clearly. Every painful situation you’ve ever experienced was there to teach you something. Maybe the lesson you learned was how to stand up for yourself, or how to be more discriminating of certain characteristics, or a greater clarity about what your values and morals are, etc. Trust me when I tell you, there IS a gift in everything. You just need to be willing to LOOK for it and take it in. My purpose was defined by my painful situation. What a gift that’s been for me!!! Can you identify purposeful gifts from your own pain?
Rebecca and I are similar in so many ways, including wanting to positively impact the world with our work and our messages. I’m grateful for her friendship and her work. I now consider her a part of my tribe and team. If you need legal help regarding your divorce, she is the GO TO person, for sure!
Affirmation Statement:
“I HAVE TODAY…to transform my life!”
With Love,
Diane
Quote: “I‘ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom – how great is that?” ~ Soledad O’Brien
