How would you like to overcome your fear and have faith?
This is a special episode in the 6-part series called, “Change Your Language, Change Your Life.”
This week’s word is “fear.”
The reason this is so important for you to know is that you’re getting what you’re speaking about, whether you want it or not. Therefore, when you have awareness of this fact, then you can bring consciousness to the unconscious habits that you speak about without even knowing it!
Once you know this, now you have the power to do something about it!
The acronym for FEAR is “false evidence appearing real’ which means you are projecting worry into your future. What would it take for you to step over the line from fear to faith, and trust that everything was going to work out FOR you!
You can choose to replace your “fear” with “faith!” What are you living in fear about? Where are you staying stuck because it’s the devil you know versus the devil you don’t know? And, how are you expressing yourself? What you’re thinking about creates the way you’re feeling, which then creates the way you communicate, which ultimately becomes what you manifest.
Remember…You’re getting what you’re speaking about, whether you want it or not!
If you’re staying in an unhappy marriage or relationship, think about why you’re doing it…the money, the kids, what will people think, I don’t want to be alone, I am living in fear of what might happen if I make a change, etc. Or a job, or you live in fear of getting sick and dying, or that something is going to happen to someone you love.
Those are all disempowering words.
A new, empowering question to start asking yourself is, “If I didn’t have fear and I had faith instead because I know that I’ll be okay, what changes would I make in my life?” This question will help you break the negative, fear-based pattern you’re stuck in, and it will allow your subconscious mind to start giving you the answers! It does so through thoughts, words and ideas in your mind! Those aren’t random…that’s called “guidance.”
The best way I know to replace “fear” with “faith” is gratitude. For instance, I had a situation arise in my life recently. My daughter was over at a friend’s house and she accidentally ate pistachio nuts in the salad. She’s highly allergic to tree nuts…especially pistachios! She called me as she briskly walked home to get some benadryl to tell me what was going on. Her roommate was home, even though she was not expected to be there.
After a few minutes, the attack started and she began to panic. Then, I started to panic. I went into “Freaking Out Mom” mode for about 1 minute as I called to find the nearest hospital, until I realized what I was doing. I immediately grounded myself and became present. I realized my fear was beginning to take over, so I switched into “faith” mode.
I kept saying to myself, “Even though I’m 100 miles away, I am grateful that this happened within walking distance of her apartment, that her roommate was home and able to drive her to the hospital, she lives 5 minutes away from one of the best hospitals in the country, I am grateful I can hop in my car and be there in less than 2 hours, etc.” What a shift!!!
As it turned out, she was fine. After a few hours in the ER, she was feeling better. Therefore, there was NO NEED TO FEAR! All was handled beautifully! Imagine if I stayed in that “fearful” energy??? Who would that help or serve? NO ONE!!! By staying calm and having FAITH that all would be fine, it was!!! That is our PERSONAL POWER!!!
If you start paying attention to where you’re feeling and speaking about fear in your life and you turn it around so that you’re focusing more on faith, doing more and more each day, this is going to have a profound, positive trajectory on your life! Subtle shifts like this make all the difference in the world! So, try it..put the word “fear” out of your mind and out of your vocabulary, and replace it with faith.
Anytime you start to hear yourself saying something that’s a fearful thought, catch it in that moment and say…”wait a minute, is this what I want? Or is this just a limiting belief? Is this one of those lies that I tell myself that I need to be afraid of? Or can I choose a more empowering thought? I can go the opposite way towards what I really want instead of what I don’t want!”
That is your power because it’s your choice.
That’s how you live intentionally every single day. It’s in the moment by moment by moment decisions that you make. Magic begins to happen with this 6 part series and process.
