“If you own a business, you have to be a content producing machine… the friction of creating content is so stressful, but once you authentically know who you are, what you represent, what you stand for, it just flows out from you. It just naturally comes out for you because it’s an extension of who you are.””
The Intention of Today’s Show – I have today to be true to who I am.
This week on I HAVE TODAY with Diane Forster, we’re talking about the importance of being authentic. People can tell when you are being inauthentic with yourself, your image, and with your intentions, in your business and in your personal life. How are you showing up? Are you portraying an accurate representation of yourself to others?
I spent time talking with Karlos Copara about the importance of authenticity in your personal brand. Karlos is the founder of Accel Branding. He is a brand strategist, design expert, and former Fortune 500 creative fireball. With over 15 years of professional granting experience, he specializes in brand identity and brand strategy, helping entrepreneurs and expanding businesses attract more clients by positioning leading brands with substance, style, and clarity. We discuss the importance of branding, and strategies to help you develop an effective and authentic personal brand. In the episode, Karlos gives two incredibly practical questions for you to ask, as you seek authenticity in your personal brand. First of all, what can you bring to the market to make heads turn? Owning your unique skill set can help you find your niche, and offer a vital solution to someone’s pain or need. Secondly, seek out the gaps in the market. What is the marking craving that only you can offer?
“What can you bring to the market that not many others can really own or really bring forward? What are some of your passions and what unique skill sets do you have? They may not be related to your business, but how can they synergistically aligned with what you’re doing?”
Three ways to create awareness, and discover whether or not you are being authentic.
- When you are being inauthentic, it feels bad.
- Ask yourself why you are doing something.
- Just be you, because you are enough just as you are.
“I like to think of it like a radio station. If you’re putting out a fuzzy signal, people can’t really tune in. Once you put out a clear, authentic signal, people can hear the broadcast, and then people fall in love with you. And if you’re not making people fall in love with your content, then you’re lacking that human connection. Before we’re businesses we’re humans.”
Each week we end our episode with a mantra meditation. Take a moment to allow these words to sink in. This is a unique way to apply the concepts of today’s show to your mindset, relationships, and your life. Take charge of your mindset. Start today.
I have today to love my life. Something really good is gonna happen to me today. I can
feel it. Miracles big and small. I notice them all. Yes, yes, yes. Thank you. I have today to intentionally appreciate everything about myself. I am so powerful. So special. So worthy. So talented, so beautiful on the inside. When I look at myself, I make it a point to intentionally focus on the things that I love about myself because I know when I focus on that which I love, that which I love, expands. I see less and less flaws and things that I don’t love about myself. I only focus on my greatness, my grace and my gifts. And I know that by living with that intention to stay focused on just how powerful I am, just how worthy I am, just how smart I am, just how deserving I am every single day, my life unfolds in extraordinary ways by intentionally appreciating myself for exactly who I am, I live with better health, better clarity, greater focus, fantastic mindset, healthy energy, loving romantic relationships, powerful connections with people who I’m supposed to be aligned with, likeminded people, and an infinite flow of financial freedom and abundance. It feels so incredible. I know the power of appreciation. I understand the way it works, that which we appreciate appreciates. It gets better. Through that positive, powerful energy in gratitude and appreciation, more and more of the things for me to be grateful for and appreciate. Start to show up in my life without any hard worker struggle. It happens so easily. It flows right into my life. I live an intentional life, focusing my intention on my health by making healthy food choices. I focus on my mind by nurturing it every day, learning something new, reading, practicing and perfecting new skills, enhancing myself in my arts and talents. I live intentionally in my love life. I love my partner and even if I’m not with someone right now, just by loving the idea of loving my partner and setting the intention to live in that romantic love every day, I am a magnetic attractor for my amazing romantic love partner. I live intentionally in my career, and every day I focus on offering value to every single person in my life that I come in contact with. I live intentionally with my spoken word and I choose my words wisely, offering only helpful, loving words. And most importantly, I live intentionally when it comes to my self worth. I appreciate the gift that is my life and I don’t ever want to take it for granted. I live intentionally in every area of my life, every day of my life, and because I do that, I have full gratitude and appreciation for myself just as I am.
And so it is. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
