By becoming aware of what you are boomeranging back into your life that you don’t want, you can reprogram your thoughts and words to boomerang into your life what you do want. 

In spirituality, the Boomerang Effect states that whatever you put out to the universe by speaking and thinking will come back to you. 

“Whatever you’re feeling, you’re boomeranging that back into your life.”  – Diane (11:36-11:40)

Do you have the life that you want? Are the things that are showing up in your life what you actually want to have around? Have you ever stopped to think that you are attracting these things into your life? If you’re tired of settling for mediocre, and desire to live an extraordinary life, it’s time to answer these questions.   

3 Steps to Have a Happier Life

This clarifying exercise will make you aware of what’s boomeranging into your life.

Step # 1:  Write a description of where you are right now in your life in the following areas (both the good and the bad). 

  • Health
  • Love
  • Money
  • Family
  • Friendships
  • Spirituality
  • Career
  • Home Life
  • Any area not listed here

Since we’re trying to get clear about what you’re boomeranging back into your life, be as honest and descriptive as you can, but also be gentle and kind with yourself. 

Step #2: Circle the descriptive words (the adjectives and emotions) from the descriptions you’ve written in Step 1.

This will help you identify the language, feelings, and energy that you associate with each of these categories in your life.

Step #3: Look for, and highlight patterns and similar words. Use one color for positive words and another color for negative words.

This will be eye-opening. If you’re unhappy with a certain category of your life and you’re using negative words to describe it, you will be able to see clearly that by thinking, speaking, and writing that way, you are boomeranging the negative back into your life.

Now that you are aware of this, you can change your mindset and your language. Since everything in your life is a direct reflection of how you think and how you feel, you will need to reprogram your thinking and your language to get what you want. Switch out the negative descriptions of what you don’t want with positive words, feelings, and adjectives of the things that you do want. You will be surprised how fast they will come into your life!

Self-Worth and the Boomerang Effect

Attracting negative emotions and experiences into your life stems from your level of self-worth. When you love and accept yourself wholly and completely, you operate your life from a whole different place of pure love and compassion. And when you come from that place, you can’t help but attract everything you want. It’s time to start loving yourself fully and boomeranging the most extraordinary things into your life.
